Professional Experience
1989 - 2001 ORIX Financial Services, Inc. f/k/a ORIX Credit Alliance, Inc.
1989 - 1991 Operations Manager, Rediscount Office, Orangeburg, New York.
1991 - 1999 Branch Manager and Vice President, Rediscount Office.
1999 Supervised relocation of Rediscount Office to Paramus, New Jersey as part of major company reorganization. In my positions with the company I rose to manager of a 17 person office for the purchase of third party finance and lease receivables from finance and leasing companies. With a lending authority of $1 Million, I reviewed applications received from selected independent lessors, controlled and administered the portfolio and delinquency, represented the company by attendance at industry conventions; and solicitation of business relationships through visits to lessors' offices and by telephone contact. Lease types included finance and true leases, conditional sales contracts and loan and security agreements, as well as TRAC leases. I developed the capability to structure more difficult deals with additional collateral, down payments, first loss agreements, vendor and dealer recourse and other UNL agreements. Although the core of the office's business was financing "hard" collateral, I have successfully structured financing for companies acquiring "soft" collateral and for other unsecured financing.
1982 - 1989 Tilden Financial Corp., Roslyn Heights, New York.
1982-1983 Credit Manager, 1984 Vice President.
My main duties included solicitation of lessor relationships and reviewing lessor-generated applications for a wide variety of equipment, ranging from personal computers to multi-color printing presses, trucking and construction equipment and medical leasing and financing. Lease types included money over money, true leases, tax oriented leases and leveraged leases, as well as loans and conditional sales contracts.
1978 - 1982 Marketing representative for independent leasing companies, Todd Leasing Corporation and Leasetek Funding Group, Inc.
Responsible for marketing lease products through vendors, end users and CPA/Attorney referrals, principally by cold calls and industry trade shows.
1976 - 1978 Vice President and Lending Officer, Peoples National Bank of Rockland County, Monsey, New York.
Solicitation of new business and control of delinquency.
1969 - 1976 Comptroller of the Currency, Administrator of National Banks.
National Bank Examiner. Took part in examination of bank operations and loan reviews.
